Registered Childminder and a member of the Scottish Childminding Association

My name is Sharon and I live with my partner, Tim, and our 2 lovely sons who are 10 and 8. I am a registered childminder with the Care Inspectorate and a member of the Scottish Childminding Association. We live in a spacious home with a playroom and a big garden where we spend as much time as we can. I’m a great believer in outdoor learning so be prepared to be outdoors - a lot!

I love my job but maybe more importantly, my children love it too. They complain I don’t work weekends :-) It’s lovely to hear them nurture the little ones and learn to care and set a good example. I think they will make good parents some day.

For me, my kids are the centre of my world and I aim to make other children in my care feel welcome and secure and to provide a fun and stimulating environment for them. I am a very caring and reliable person and always put children’s needs first.

Getting Out

At home we enjoy lots of activities but it’s also good to be out and about. I love picnics and we have a good choice of parks in the area, including Newlands, Pollok and Roukenglen. I can also attend local toddler groups, baby signing and soft play if you wish.

We also like to go to the library and local museums
